History

PACE was established as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in 2017. It is registered with UK charity commission – registration no 1171773.

PACE charity was founded by Dr Ratna Chatterjee MD, PhD and Dr Rekha Bajoria MRCOG, MRCP, PhD.

Both Ratna and Rekha have acquired extensive experience during our lifetime by working relentlessly in the top UK universities as Clinical Academics and Consultants in the NHS for 40 years.

During this journey we developed various teaching tools for healthcare professionals both Nationally and Internationally.

We also developed a unique postgraduate degree programme for UCL to teach doctors, nurses and other health care professional including clinical medicine.

We have also taught and designed tools for various aspects of health care for outreach workers and clinics in villages and small towns in low resource and developing countries including India and China.

Our Vision

With this background, we strongly believe that a strong literacy skill-training programme is crucial for communities, in order to ensure that its future generations are skilled, employable and prosperous.

This charity aims in addressing the key issue of language barrier, basic literacy, and information technology in adults with emphasis on women residing in borough, which drains a diverse multi-ethnic population. This hinders their aspiration to learn skills for employment.

We are driven by the aim to transform lives of adults of all ages by enabling livelihoods. We aim to create equal opportunities for all, regardless of socioeconomic background, geographic locations or gender.

Empowerment of women through acquisition of literacy educational support and skill acquisition with employability and building of self-confidence.

We need to build a multi disciplinary team to address the abovementioned needs of young women residing in local communities.
